Unlike other models with filters that cannot remove air impurities smaller than 0.3 microns, the three mechanical and electrostatic filters in the Blueair 203 air purifier capture 99.97% of 0.1 micron particles, including allergy-provoking pollen grains, dust mites, mold spores, tobacco smoke, and pet dander particles, resulting in an average Clean Air Delivery Rate of 437.5 – 28% higher than the next air cleaner.
The Blueair 203 air purifier uses patented HEPASilent filters that allow air to flow freely through the unit, eliminating the need for powerful, noisy fans, and filtered air is discharged diffusely from vents, resulting in no noticeable draft. The filters are easily accessed and replaced, and the exterior wipes clean. This new and improved unit also comes with a built in filter change indicator light! Includes one set of filters. Consider the Blueair 203 air purifier as your home air purifier or as your office or business air purifier.
The new Blueair 203 in-room air purifier is the only air purifier with its 175 sq. ft. room capacity to use HEPASilent™ technology, a combination of the best features of electrostatic and mechanical filter technology that allows delivery of more clean air, at a faster rate, with less noise.
The Blueair 203 is the most compact unit in the Blueair line. It is an excellent system for people living with allergies, asthma, or other respiratory conditions, or for anyone who wants cleaner, more breathable air. This same filter technology earned the larger Blueair 503 Best of Class ranking in independent testing of Clean Air Delivery Rates. The 203 provides comparable performance for smaller rooms.
Environmentally Aware
Blueair products offer exceptional performance without polluting the environment. Blueair replaces standard triclosan-coated paper or glass filter fibers, which can harm the environment when released into the waste stream, with safer, nontoxic polypropylene.
This revolutionary filter media is one of the least harmful plastics, producing only carbon dioxide and water as it decomposes. Because polypropylene is waterproof, our filters naturally resist contamination from bacteria, viruses and mold, without chemical additives or washes. Blueair even uses a special powder coat finish that produces no chemical out gassing.

Cleans Air Quietly
Sophisticated materials and precision engineering allow the filter to clean indoor air without the noise associated with less advanced units. On the lowest setting, the units emit no more sound than a desktop computer. To achieve exceptionally quiet operation, this air cleaner's patented HEPASilent™ filter technology traps particles two ways: with mechanical and electrostatic filters.
This combination creates a filter system through which air flows freely. Most air cleaners require a powerful, noisy fan to pull air through densely packed filters. Since air passes easily through the filter media, the fan doesn't have to work as hard or as loud. Even the housing is designed with quiet operation in mind, replacing sound-sonant plastic with noise-muffling steel.
Low Energy Costs
A phenomenally low power usage means that you can run this air cleaning system 24/7 without a jump in electricity consumption. The Blueair 203 uses 20-50 watts of power and has an average operating cost of $2.98 per month which is Energy Star Rated.
Five Year Warranty
Blueair warrants that your air purifier will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase provided that you have completed and returned your warranty registration to Blueair, and that the filters are replaced with original replacement filters at least once every six (6) months (the Limited Warranty).
Within the first 30 days of purchase Blueair will replace the defective unit at no charge to you and reimburse any shipping charges. After 30 days, Blueair's obligation and liability under this Limited Warranty is limited to repairing or replacing (at its sole discretion) the defective unit and paying the freight cost of returning the unit to you. The Limited Warranty does not cover replacement filters.
